Coach Matteo Basei Fantolino approached sports from a very young age, starting with swimming, skiing, tennis, football, basketball.

Matteo ran the New York Marathon in 2022, and the Berlin Marathon in 2021. The Verona Half Marathon in 2021 and the 33 km of Rimini and the 30 km of Gran Canaria.

He also did the Camino de Santiago de Compostela by bike, he did the trekking Selvaggio Blue, and the Rolex Cup Sanremo Saint-Tropez, won a tennis tournament at the Rocce di Pinamare Tennis Club, was first place in the university ski race of the universities of Turin. He played basketball for two years at Pallacanestro Moncalieri. He took the diving license and attended the course of CVC Circolo Velico Caprepa. 

Matteo has been certified as a "Real Result Coach" at MICAP the International Master in High Performance Coaching. Since 2025 he is Fellow Research at the The Internationa University College of Turin (IUC) and professes experimental and applied research activities by developing the S.L.O.W. Coaching protocol.
